Is Site Flipping Easy……or Hard Work?

This is where I’m supposed to say, “No, of course not! In fact, you can sit on your ass with a can of malt liquor and cheese puffs watching the home team lose another game, and stay in front of the TV until you pass out – and this website flipping thingy will just see that the beer money keeps pouring in. All you have to do is copy and paste, push a few buttons, and you’re set for life!”

Sounds good? Then go give one of the “gurus” a call – they’ll be happy to have you for breakfast, if you get my drift.

There’s a bit of work here, a lot of it fairly boring, until you’re making enough to outsource the drudge work. But, even if you’ve got a bit of extra cash, and can outsource now – you should wait. Do the drudge work first.

“But why?”

Because you have to know exactly what the drudge work is and how long it takes….or your outsourcers will take your money and screw with you. I can see a couple of guys in the Philippines now, joking over a beer (or that homemade paint-remover they drink called tsuba). One of them says, “I love working for Homer. He doesn’t have a clue how much work is involved, so I can charge him triple for half the work.” (Followed by the sound of laughter, and calls for two more chilled San Miguels.)

You don’t want to be Homer.

So, you need to get your feet wet. The good news is anybody can do it. Or at least anybody who is willing to put in the effort can do it. And if that’s too hard, just think of how hard it is to go to a job every day that you’re not crazy about – and to have your future and your family’s future depend on the whims of your bosses. When you think about it, that’s a whole lot harder in the long run. The work you invest in your website business will pay off to the point that you can hire out much of the work in the future. You’ll be the boss.

Are you willing to turn off the TV, challenge yourself to learn new things, and get to that point….. Boss?
